This is the second argillite pole I have purchased from this store and both times my expectations were exceeded. Master carver Glen Pollard is a gifted artist, and it is a pleasure to own examples of his work. Prompt, friendly, and quick service along with superb packing. Five Star all around.

Generally reluctant to mail order crafts, but have been wanting a high quality First Nations argillite box for >50 years ... ever since I first saw as a child (but couldn’t afford). Fell in love with this piece on line, and very pleased with my purchase ... top quality craftsmanship, accurately described & photographed, expertly packed and shipped. Only complaint is poor hand-off of tracking info between Canadian & US PO ... but arrived in fine shape (although later than expected). Very happy with the artist, dealers, and purchase!

I purchased a beautifully carved argillite raven steals the light" box by Glen Pollard and a salmon pendant with catlinite decoration by Myles Edgars. The carvings are very well done. I bought several argillite pipes from the gift shop, which were outstanding as far as the quality of carving and the originality of design were concerned. Glen Pollard is renowned for his beautiful creations and his carvings are featured in many auctions by auction houses selling his work. Communication is impeccable and the whole experience leaves nothing to be desired. A fantastic traditional Haida art source. Very happy with everything.

I ordered a sheet of abalone shell and some abalone shell circles for use in a mosaic. They were even more beautiful than they appeared in the pictures and I am very pleased. The owners were very attentive to the order and I look forward to shopping at Haida Gwaii Gift Shop again. Recommend them highly.
